Are you ready to work at SIX and join the world of Finance and IT in a dynamic and open-minded team? We are seeking a highly skilled Expert in Financial and Regulatory Reporting to join our General Ledger team in Poland.

The team is responsible for handling all General ledger accounting processes and dedicated regulatory reporting processes for Swiss and international SIX companies. As a member of GL, you will be responsible for monthly and annual closing activities for selected legal entities. In this context you will closely work together with different departments to assure that the financial statements are prepared according to respective local GAAP and IFRS and to ensure that management requirements are met. During the audit you will be the point of contact for the legal entities in your area of responsibility. Additionally, together with your colleagues you will be preparing regulatory reports to the Swiss Financial Market Authority (FINMA) and the Swiss National Bank (SNB).

You will be embedded in an international team and closely work together with different departments within SIX. You should like to communicate with different people, analyze processes and be open to new ideas and changes. You should possess a unique blend of business and technical understanding; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

What You Will Do

  • independently process daily business activities (i.e. maintain accounting records by daily booking and reconciling of accounting documents) and leading the monthly, quarterly and annually closing process for selected entities
  • do the preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable GAAP (e.g. Swiss Code of Obligations and FINMA Accounting Ordinance) and assistance in the auditing process
  • do the preparation of regulatory reports (e.g. Capital adequacy reporting) to FINMA and SNB
  • closely cooperate with Tax, Controlling and Group Reporting Team
  • contribute and lead ad-hoc tasks and projects

What You Bring

  • University Degree in Finance & Accounting or Business Administration
  • minimum of 4 years practical experience in international financial accounting & reporting
  • experience with capital adequacy reporting (BASEL III)
  • fluency in English, German would be the a strong asset
  • experience in SAP (FI / MM) and MS Office
